Soil & Concrete Testers – Toowoomba

Construction Sciences provides a range of first-class services, we are currently looking to recruit Experienced CMT Technicians or Trainees to join our team. Opportunities are currently available in our Toowoomba Laboratory.

Successful candidates will be committed to working within a team environment and will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects throughout the state.

The role will have an emphasis on technical expertise combined with project management, analysis and reporting in support of our established network of laboratories.

In order to be successful as a CMT Technician you will ideally possess:

A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Laboratory or field
Strong verbal communication skills
An ability to work cohesively within a team driven environment
Familiar with relevant Australian testing standards
A current Australian driver’s licence
White/ Blue General Construction Induction card
An ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen are essential.
If you are motivated, reliable and willing to learn we have trainee positions available to develop your career as a Construction Material Testing Technician. Suitable trainee candidates will be enrolled in nationally recognised Cert 3 or 4 Laboratory Techniques courses with internal support to complete. We encourage candidates of all ages to apply for our traineeship positions.

In order to be successful as a trainee you will ideally possess:

Ideally be a school leaver or seeking a genuine career opportunity
A General Construction Induction White card
Decent level of mathematical/ science aptitude
Reliable, punctual and physically capable of completing manual tasks
Enthusiastic and motivated with the ability to work unsupervised whilst upholding safety standards and company policy.
Ability to listen, have sound judgement and use common sense.
Willingness to undertake a suitable training certificate course (through the Employer)
