The importance of this role
Our Southern Downs Home Care team is looking for Qualified Home Care Workers to service Warwick and the surrounding suburbs.
As a Home Care Worker, you will have a varied and rewarding role. Working alongside aged care consumers with differing support needs, you will provide them with the appropriate support to achieve their goal of living independently within their own home.
The types of support provided include:
• Personal care, including showering, dressing, continence care;
• Monitoring and reporting any changes, uncharacteristic behaviours, and/or concerns regarding our clients’ physical or emotional wellbeing or living environment;
• Assisting with medication;
• Helping with cleaning, shopping, meal preparation and other light housework;
• Assisting with transport to appointments and undertaking personal shopping.
What you can bring to the team
You are caring, empathetic and seeking to make a difference. In addition, you are a confident relationship builder, as you will be a trusted person in our clients’ homes.
To be suited to these positions, you will have:
• Certificate III in Individual Support;
• Experience in providing excellent customer service;
• A current driver’s licence and fully insured and reliable vehicle for work purposes;
• Willingness to travel to our clients;
• Physical capacity to carry out the duties required, including house & manual work;
• Availability to work flexible hours including weekends;
• National Police Certificate or the ability to acquire.
