About the role
The Environmental Service Worker is responsible for kitchen, dining room, laundry and cleaning duties within our Golden Age Residential facility. As an integral member of the team, you will deliver services to our much-loved residents.
In this role you will:
• Assist in the preparation of meals;
• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment;
• Assist with the serving of meals, including setting up and cleaning;
• Handle laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding and distribution of linen and resident clothing;
• Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the facilities’ residential areas.
About you
To be successful in this role, you must have compassion for the elderly, and be passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs. You will be a positive individual who works well with others, and always happy to support your fellow team members.
As the Environmental Services Worker, ideally your experience and qualifications include:
• Certificate II in Cleaning Operations and/or Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable;
• Experience in the Aged Care industry will be highly regarded;
• Experience in working in commercial kitchens;
• Experience in operating equipment associated with cleaning and laundry;
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day week;
• Possess or have the ability to acquire a current National Police Certificate.
